Mac Banks
Mac Banks is a 21-year newspaper veteran, working mostly for the Rock Hill Herald/Fort Mill Times as well as the Aiken Standard and the Lancaster News. He has won more than 60 awards from the S.C. Press Association for his writing, photography, video skills. He was honored with the 2007 President’s Award from McClatchy Newspaper Corporation. He has authored and self-published a book, Faces of Hope: A Journey Inside an African Orphanage, as well as written stories about local, state and national sporting events. Mac is part of the OTS Sports Network, performing color commentary at high school football games for WRHI and their sister stations. In August 2019, he founded the Banks Media Group, LLC, starting the www.fortmillprepsports.com website to serve the Fort Mill Township covering local high school sports. Banks has a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Liberty University and Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and History from Winthrop University. More by Mac Banks

Mitchell Mercer
Mitchell Mercer has lived in Fort Mill since 2003 and graduated from Nation Ford High School in 2019. He currently attends Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and is majoring in English-Communications. Mitchell has been a writer for Presbyterian College’s The Blue Stocking and for the Springfield Living Magazine for the Springfield Subdivision in Fort Mill.
