Safe Passage, a nonprofit organization committed to combating domestic and sexual violence, has announced its upcoming fundraising event, “It Takes a Community.”

Scheduled for October 24 at McBryde Hall, Winthrop University in Rock Hill, the event aims to unite community members, leaders, and advocates in support of victims of domestic violence.

Executive Director Adrienne Woods emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating, “Domestic and sexual violence are issues that affect us all, and it truly takes a community to provide the support and resources needed to make a difference. This event is a chance for everyone to come together and ensure that victims have the help they need to rebuild their lives.”

The evening will feature a dinner, live entertainment, and both live and silent auctions showcasing exclusive items donated by local businesses. Proceeds from the event will directly fund Safe Passage’s essential services, including its emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis hotline, advocacy services, and counseling.
