A Fort Mill pair were jailed this week after a large dog fight revealed a home with malnourished pets and deplorable living conditions, authorities said.
Megan Kerr, 26, and Bianca Derboghosian, 34, of Unity Drive, were charged Wednesday with two counts each or animal cruelty.
Fort Mill police became aware of the conditions at a home on Unity Street when they were called about multiple dogs fighting in the back yard.
“Officers further observed a puppy to be lying still in the middle of the yard which looked deceased,” a report says. “Officers contacted Megan Kerr and Bianca Derboghosian, owners of the house and advised them of the findings. Multiple animals that appeared to be malnourished were observed in the residence in deplorable living conditions.”
York County Animal Control was contacted and took custody of all animals on the property at that time.
