Comedian Marty Simpson is known for being clean and super funny. He will perform next month in Fort Mill.

The Fort Mill Community Playhouse is hosting stand-up comedian Marty Simpson on Jan. 13 with proceeds helping the theater.

Simpson is making his Fort Mill debut at Lifepointe Church at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, with all proceeds of the show going toward FMCP’s routine upkeep as well as their upcoming season in 2023. The Playhouse has a goal of purchasing a permanent space.

Simpson’s comedy has been featured on ESPN, B.E.T., and Nickelodeon. His award-winning special “Clean if it Kills Me” is available to stream on multiple platforms and his DryBar Comedy special can be seen at DryBarComedy.com/martys.

The comedian – known for being clean and super funny – has performed on three different continents and was a finalist in the 2017 Trial By Laughter. He was named a festival favorite at Big Pine Comedy Festival and won the 2012 Clean Comedy Challenge. Simpson’s comedy is shaped not only by over 25 years of marriage and two children, but also by his 10 years as a head high school football coach and drama teacher. He says every fall, he simply acted like the football coach.
