A Fort Mill man was killed Monday when the car he was riding in was struck by an oncoming car, authorities said.
Jacob Brown, 21, was the passenger in a car that was struck on Pleasant Road near the Gold Hill intersection, according to Coroner Sabrina Gast.
The 1991 Mazda two-door vehicle he was in was struck by an oncoming 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe while the Mazda driver tried to turn left into a private drive off Pleasant Road.
Brown was pronounced dead on the scene, Gast said in a press release. The drivers of the Tahoe and Mazda were rushed to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

On his Facebook page, Brown identified himself as a former student at Nation Ford High School.
