The Town of Fort Mill is excited to announce its slate of events for the 2021 South Carolina Strawberry Festival, which kicks off Friday, April 23 and continues through Saturday, May 1.

From our annual Strawberry Pageant, golf tournament and car show to new additions such as a 5K race hosted by the Fort Mill Economic Partners and drive-in movie night, the Town plans to offer the same fun, family-friendly atmosphere as previous years with a socially distanced twist. Though our traditional festival in Walter Y. Elisha Park will not take place this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Town is committed to keeping the spirit of the festival alive through a variety of smaller events, including:

-Tiny Miss Strawberry Shortcake, Little Miss Strawberry Shortcake, Miss Strawberry Princess, Miss Strawberry Festival Jr. Teen: New this year to our Strawberry Pageant are four new age categories Ages: 5, 6, 7; Ages: 8, 9; Ages: 10, 11; and Ages: 12, 13. Competition will be held Friday, April 23.

Teen, Miss, Ms. Strawberry Pageant: The annual competition will be held Saturday, April 24.

Strawberry Sprint & Stroll 5K: The race begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 24 in downtown Fort Mill.

Strawberry Pancake Breakfast: Sunday, April 25, 8 – 11 a.m. at Anne Springs Close Greenway’s Gateway Canteen. –Strawberry Blossom Car Show & Food Trucks: Event is Sunday, April 25, 12-4 p.m. in Walter Y. Elisha Park.

SC Strawberry Festival Online Photo Contest: Submit photos of your favorite SCSF moments on Monday, April 26. –Strawberry Festival Golf Tournament: The annual captain’s choice golf tournament will be held at Springfield Golf Course on Tuesday, April 27. There will be a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Strawberry Business Showcase: On Wednesday, April 28, Fort Mill restaurants and merchants will be featured throughout the day on Town social media accounts promoting strawberry-related products.

Strawberry Idol: Local vocalists compete virtually beginning Monday, April 26. Winners announced April 29. –Strawberry Flick & Food: Join us for a drive-in movie event on Friday, April 30.

Strawberry Artisan Market: The Town is partnering with Anne Springs Close Greenway to host an artisan market at the Gateway Canteen Lawn on Saturday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ticket required.

Strawberry Scavenger Hunt: The Fort Mill History Museum hosts an exciting hunt through Fort Mill on May 1. –Strawberry Pet Costume Contest: Dress your pooches in strawberry attire for a chance to win prizes on May 1.

Other events throughout the week include Strawberry Decorating contests for residents and businesses, Strawberry cooking classes and Strawberry Take & Make projects.
