UPDATE: After construction delays, the Earth Fare location in Fort Mill is now slated to open January 13th at 8:00 AM.
A local grocery store in Fort Mill is reopening up this week.
Earth Fare is scheduled to reinstate their Fort Mill location off Len Patterson Road Wednesday, January 13th at 8:00 AM. Reported by the Progressive Grocer, the reestablishment of the store comes following news in October that four stores in the Charlotte area, including Fort Mill, would be reopening.
Originally filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February, the chain was forced to close all 55 stores but has since made a gradual comeback by reopening some stores in key markets.
Founded in 1975, Earth Fare is known for its variety of organic products free of artificial ingredients throughout its sections of produce, bakery, dairy, meats, seafoods, and frozen goods. The store is also known for its pizza selection, sushi bar, and juice bar.
According to the company, face mask requirements and social distancing protocols will be in place once the Fort Mill store opens.
