   At 1:40 p.m. Friday, the Fort Mill Police Department said it was still hunting for one of three suspects after a police chase ended with an overturned vehicle.

They were search for a suspect that fled the area after overturning their vehicle at Banks Road down near the Catawba River.

“Suspect description is two black males one with a white T-shirt one with a gray hoodie,” the police said on Facebook.

Later, they announced online that another suspect in custody and said they were still searching for one more.

Parents of students at Catawba Ridge High School and Banks Trail Middle School were reporting online that the schools were on lockdown. The school district issued this statement at 1:55 p.m. Friday:

“CRHS, BTMS, DBES, RVES are under a lockout. DBES and RVES will dismiss on time with extra security. A small number of buses at DBES will hold due to law enforcement activity in their drop off area. Parents of those students are being notified,” spokesman Joe Burke said at 2 p.m.

After an update from law enforcement, middle and high schools dismissed normally, Burke said later.
