Work has begun on the new Anniston Chase development across from Capt. Steve’s Family Restaurant on U.S. Highway 21.

The new development will be anchored by the CVS Pharmacy and will eventually include about 130 single-family homes. Construction of homes should begin between January-March 2021 with a completion date in 2024, town officials said.

Here is the overall site plan for the CVS with details about the pharmacy and the general location of future retail and the residential portion.

Originally the plan for the property was brought to the Fort Mill Town Council back in 2014 and revisited again in 2017, according to Mayor Guynn Savage. Last year, the council approved new plans with fewer homes and fewer disruption to the property acreage, the mayor said.

The town requires that a minimum of 20 percent of the total site be maintained as open space. Here is the plan with lots of natural green area behind the residential portion.

The estimated completion of the CVS building is 5-6 months, though that is subject to change based on the current environment, said Chris Sardelli, Public Relations Manager for the Town of Fort Mill.
