A Fort Mill man has made York County’s Most Wanted List for a violent assault on his parents, authorities said.
Trevor Whidden, 22, is being sought for two counts of assault and battery and one count of malicious injury to property.
On Aug. 21, Trevor allegedly kicked in the front door of his family’s home on Downing Drive.
His mother told deputies that the family has been having problems with Trevor due to his drug use. According to a sheriff’s report, Trevor had argued with his mother and father the evening before, a fight “that resulted in Trevor pushing her to the floor, causing her to hit her head against the bottom of the kitchen counter.”
Trevor then went after his father when he told Trevor to stop hitting his mother. When the suspect’s mother got between them, Trevor allegedly kicked her in the thigh, leaving a bruise.
A sheriff’s report lists Trevor as 6’3” tall and 185 pounds.
The suspect’s parents decided Trevor couldn’t live at home anymore. But Trevor appeared on the back porch on Aug. 21, demanding to be let back into the home. When they refused, he threw lawn furniture and then kicked in the front door, saying he could enter the home if he wanted to.
“Trevor then got into the front seat of his girlfriend’s mother’s car and drove away at a high rate of speed” despite having a suspended license, the report says.
The suspect’s mother told deputies she was tired of the endless abuse and wanted charges pressed against Trevor for the assault.
Deputies have been unable to catch him, leading to his recent placement on the county’s Top 10 Most Wanted.
