The Fort Mill High School band had a successful trip to Utah and brought home fourth place out of 33 bands at Saturday’s Bands of America Regional in St. George, Utah.
For preliminaries, bands were divided into four classes based on school size. Fort Mill placed 2nd in Class AAA to Clovis High School from New Mexico and earned one of the 10 spots in the evening finals.
American Fork High School in Utah won the finals competition for the seventh time in the last eight years. Fort Mill finished 4th overall out of 33 bands. (Complete results below.)
On Sunday, Nov. 10th the band drove south to Arizona and visited the Grand Canyon’s south rim. The group photo shown above was taken at Mather Point. The band also enjoyed a sunset walk along the rim trail.
