Tears flowed Monday as the Town of Fort Mill held a powerful Veterans Day program to honor the service and sacrifice of military veterans.
About 150 people attended the program at Veterans Park and included a speech by Commander Keith Feeley of the American Legion Post 43. “It is a privilege to be a veteran,” he said.
The 10:30 a.m. event also featured patriotic music, Posting of the Colors, rifle volley and taps. Mallory Tipton, a fifth grader at Tega Cay Elementary, sang the National Anthem, while Choir Director Jill Fuller sang “America the Beautiful.” (Video below.)

“We appreciate and respect what each of us have done.”
