The Anne Springs Close Greenway is preparing to open a new 6,300 square-foot visitors center called the Greenway Gateway.

A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, at the Gateway for the media, special guests and Chamber of Commerce members. The public opening day is Saturday, July 27, with special activities and regular business hours.

The Gateway is the first major building constructed on the Greenway since its formation in 1995. It was funded by donations made during the “Nature Needs You” capital campaign of 2012.

The visitor’s center will serve as a place for the public to learn about the Greenway’s mission and the many outdoor recreational and educational opportunities available throughout the year.
