Fort Mill police made no arrest Monday night after a woman complained that her husband assaulted her for pouring hot sauce on his car.

A police report says the 57-year-old woman told officers that she poured hot sauce on her husband’s vehicle during an argument. She said her husband then “threw her on the ground and elbowed her repeatedly,” a report says.

The 61-year-old husband told officers that he grabbed the hot sauce from his wife and put it away before retreating to a downstairs bedroom at their house on Coburn Court, a police report says.

The suspect’s 18-year-old son said he had to restrain his mother from going after his father, leading to a red mark on the woman’s arm.

Police say they found no probable cause for a domestic violence arrest.
