Fort Mill school trustees approved the new colors for three new schools.
Kings Town Knights: Kings Town Elementary School will have red, blue and gray. The school will be open in 2020 and will be located on Masons Bend Drive.
River Trail Otters: River Trail Elementary School will have orange, light blue and brown. The school will open in 2020 and will be located on Fort Mill Parkway.
Forest Creek Coyotes: Forest Creek Middle School will have navy blue, green and silver. The district’s 6th middle school will open in 2021 and will be located on Whites Road.
“The shades may change just a bit, but these are the color families we will be going with,” said Joe Burke, Fort Mill School District Chief Communications Officer. “We will work with them on what the best of each color is to go shirt-wise or any other logo or mascot we put on there.”
Logos have not been approved, and the newly-named principals will be heavily involved in that selection and which color scheme to use in their design. “That will be a fun process,” Burke said.
