An employee of Area 51 Fireworks is wanted for the brazen theft of $3,200 worth of fireworks from the store where she worked near Carowinds in Fort Mill, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Quazii Anastajia Robinson, 25, of Charlotte, is wanted for breach of trust in Tuesday’s theft.
As her co-worker was counting money in a back room on March 26, Robinson was captured on video surveillance leaving and entering the store several times with “mass quantities of fireworks,” a sheriff’s report says. The video shows her passing them off to a man outside the front door of the store, located at 3620 Festival Drive in Fort Mill.
Robinson was reportedly gone before a manager alerted the co-worker by phone about the alleged theft. The manager told the co-worker that there were “subjects seen stealing items from the store” between 9-9:30 p.m.
The video surveillance cameras confirmed it was Robinson and an unidentified man, a report says. The thieves stole two boxes of fireworks from the warehouse in addition to thousands of dollars in merchandise from the shelves.
The stolen items include two cases of Excalibur fireworks, King Arthur fireworks, 500 grams fireworks, Reapers Doom fireworks, Major Combat fireworks, Rapid Fire fireworks, Front-Line fireworks, Combat Zone fireworks, Midnight fireworks, Wolf Fire fireworks, a case of Hunter fireworks, Rocket case of fireworks, Stellar Jets fireworks and more.
Robinson is also being investigated for stealing $40 cash from the co-worker’s purse the same night, a report says. Ironically, Robinson has a previous arrest in Charlotte for receiving stolen goods four months ago. The mugshot shown here is from that November arrest.
