Scene from the Fort Mill Community Playhouse's "Things My Mother Taught Me." Critics call the comedy, ""Funny and touching, this one will make you laugh out loud and fall in love all over again."

The Fort Mill Community Playhouse begins a three-week run of a new comedy on Friday.

“Things My Mother Taught Me” is about the funny moments that result after a couple moves into their first apartment together.

Here’s a plot summary: “They’ve just packed up all of their belongings and driven halfway across the country, to start a new life in Chicago. Their moving day doesn’t go exactly as planned, though, and things become slightly more complicated when all of their parents show up to help. Can a two-bedroom apartment contain all of the love, laughs, worry and wisdom that’s about to happen? This new comedy takes a generational look at relationships, and how sometimes parents are passing their best lessons on to their children without even meaning to.” (Showtimes & ticket info below.)

The comedy runs each Friday, Saturday & Sunday for three weeks at the playhouse on Main Street in downtown Fort Mill. Here are the exact dates and showtimes:

• 7:30 p.m. each Friday & Saturday, March: 29-30, April 5-6, April 12-13.

• 3 p.m. each Sunday, March 31, April 7, April 14
