Olinger currently serves as principal of Springfield Elementary School. He began his teaching career in Fort Mill at Gold Hill Middle School as a seventh and eighth grade teacher in 2002. He moved into administration in 2007 as an assistant principal at Orchard Park Elementary School. Olinger also served as assistant principal at Pleasant Knoll Elementary School before transitioning to his current role in 2011. Olinger holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Secondary Education from Winthrop University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina.
“We are very excited to announce these two principal positions,” said Superintendent Dr. Chuck Epps in a press release. “Ms. Young and Mr. Olinger’s years of experience and familiarity with our district culture will provide a strong foundation for these two new schools as they join our Fort Mill family. This is especially important at the elementary level as we start new students on the path to a successful education.”
